It takes a lot of courage and strength to go through personal and emotional challenges and to cope day-to-day. It also takes a lot of courage to arrive one day at the brave decision to explore the possibility of seeking professional assistance with some of those challenges. In taking this moment to explore the options that are available to you, you are taking a powerful step in acknowledging that change is possible and that βI am the captain of my soulβ, in need of some guidance while navigating the rough waters that life presents to us sometimes.
My goal as a therapist is to assist individuals and couples in achieving a greater sense of wellbeing, fulfillment and satisfaction in their lives. We each deserve to live our best life. What this means is unique to each person and changes over time. In navigating the perceived gap between oneβs current circumstances and oneβs ideal future life, there lies an incredible opportunity for personal growth and self-compassion.
I seek to support you by illuminating your resilience, your capabilities and lifeβs possibilities and compassionately guide you along more useful and empowering pathways to what you see as your best life. I bring substantial life experience to the work that I do and an inner strength and wisdom that accompanies having experienced several major personal, family and health challenges. Through empathy and compassion, we will explore alternative ways of thinking, reacting, interacting and coping in your daily life.
For more information or to assess whether I am the right therapist for you, please feel free to contact me at my email and phone links below.

Becoming a therapist has been a lifelong dream of mine. Having family members and friends who have suffered through depression and suicidal ideation always motivated me to pursue this career because I did not want anyone to feel what my loved ones went through- feelings of helplessness, stigma, and loneliness.Β My perspective stems from my ethnic background and where I grew up. I am a Chinese-Tibetan woman, a second-generation Indian and a first generation Canadian. My whole life, I have tried to adapt to a culture different from my own. Dealing with discrimination, racism, and prejudice can be disheartening and isolating when you consider that place your home.Β It takes courage to reach out for help especially if that help involves taking an honest look at ourselves - our thoughts, our emotions, our lives. At Your Story, I will accompany you in this journey. If you seek support, want a deeper understanding of yourself, or want someone to talk to, I am here for you. I uphold a non-judgmental, empathic, and trauma-sensitive space within my practice. Therapy is a collaborative relationship where we can work together to assess your current challenges, identify treatment goals and build a pathway to improving your well-being. Being client-focused and goal-oriented, we will develop a therapeutic approach that best fits you. I am currently accepting clients in person and virtually. I would be happy to meet you for a free 15-min phone call consultation, and then you can decide if I am the right therapist for you.Β

Erica is currently accepting clients Art or Conventional Talk Therapy
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and professional art therapist, I provide art and verbal psychotherapy for children, youth, adults, and older adults whose concerns may include self-worth, loss and grief, depression, stress, anxiety, spirituality, and transitions in life. I completed my graduate-level diploma in art therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, and have worked in private practice, rehabilitation, hospitals, long-term care homes, and community mental health organisations promising psychotherapy for concerns such as ADHD, depression, multiple chronic illnesses, dementia, eating disorders, and mood disorders. I am always looking for ways to expand my perspective and awareness, and believe that art therapy can help eliminate physical and even linguistic barriers when individuals are given space and support for self-expression, creative exploration, and sharing their stories.
I am open to working with any person at any age, though my clients are usually youth, adults, or older adults, individually or in group therapy. Our session together may integrate art therapy, depth, person-centred and strength-based theories, and mindfulness for a healing and changing process that feels right for you as an individual. I am a registered member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and the Ontario Art Therapy Association. Outside of sessions, I look forward to long hikes being surrounded by nature, cuddling with my big dog, exploring my own creativity, and working on my spirituality.

Hi, my name is Amy, and I am a Registered Social Worker with a passion for supporting individuals who experience intergenerational trauma, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. My journey to becoming a therapist stems from my childhood experience as a first generation, Korean-Canadian immigrant. I grew up in a small, suburban town where the only Asian students in school were my siblings and one other family. While my 8-year-old brain did not comprehend racism and discrimination, I quickly learned that parts of my Korean identity prevented me from βfitting inβ. To adapt, I learned to deny parts of my identity and focus on what others accepted. In addition, immigration and settlement stressors often activated intergenerational trauma and conflict in my family. Struggling with self-acceptance, discrimination, and family conflict can feel isolating and pervasive. You may have learned to take care of others while ignoring your needs, feel responsible for how others feel, or fear disappointing anyone. If these experiences sound familiar to you, you are not alone.
As a therapist, I hold deep respect for your unique lived experience and am committed to co-creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, safety, and deep care and support for change. Together, we will explore the impacts of past harm in your present day life, understand and manage unpleasant emotions better, and heal the relationship you have with yourself and others important in your life. I am looking forward to meeting you, having the honour to work alongside you, and encouraging you to reclaim your lifeβs story.

IN-PERSON APPOINTMENTS MAY 2024
OFFERING REDUCED FEES FOR SERVICES
Hello and welcome! Iβm Christina, an Arab-Canadian registered psychotherapist (qualifying) who is passionate about and committed to mental well-being.
My journey began at the University of Ottawa, where I earned an honours degree in psychology. Since then, my path has taken me across borders and into diverse communities, enriching my understanding of the profound impact of culture on mental health.
During my time as a Mental Health Coach in Ottawa, I specialized in supporting children and youth, helping them navigate stress, anxiety and family-related challenges. I also had the unique opportunity to extend my support beyond Ottawa by travelling to Arviat, Nunavut, where I worked closely with families in the Indigenous community and developed a more holistic approach that considers the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and cultural aspects in fostering overall well-being.
My professional journey continued in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, working with neurodiverse children and their families. This experience deepened my understanding of Eastern cultural practices and the vital role of cultural sensitivity. Recognizing the growing need for culturally competent counselling, I pursued further education at Yorkville University, earning a Masterβs in Counselling Psychology.
I believe that merging psychology with identity is fundamental to empowering underrepresented communities. I am committed to providing culturally sensitive counselling that respects the unique experiences and perspectives of individuals from all backgrounds.
Life is filled with twists and turns, and we all encounter challenges that can feel overwhelming. Whether youβre grappling with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal growth, my goal is to provide you with a safe and confidential space to explore these aspects of your life.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices. Together, we can address your challenges and work towards finding the clarity you seek. Navigating lifeβs complexities can be intimidating, but seeking support is a courageous step toward well-being.
Please feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to see if Iβm the right fit for you.

Introduction
As a self-identified queer person of colour, Andy brings a unique perspective to supporting people living with challenges associated with cultural identity, sexual health, sexuality/gender identity, and relationship dynamics. Drawing on his extensive clinical experience as a HIV and primary care nurse, Andy works from a perspective of strengths-based resiliency in conjunction with an anti-oppression, trauma-informed, and sex positive lens to help clients navigate through the challenges they encounter as a result of their intersecting identities.
Style & Technique
I believe therapy should be grounded in a collaborative approach that is based on mutual respect, trust, and compassion for the self and others. My approach to therapy is to help clients develop an understanding and practical strategies to support their goals and manage the barriers that impede their activities of daily living. I recognize the importance of addressing each individualβs overall wellbeing as an interconnection between their physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual self, which is why I approach therapy in a holistic manner that acknowledges the unique voice and identities of each client. By offering a safe and non-judgemental space for clientβs to explore their innermost thoughts, my goal is to guide clients through their journey of self-discovery as they work towards reclaiming their authentic self filled with love, compassion, and empathy.

OFFERING REDUCED FEES FOR SERVICES
Since I was young, I have always had a strong passion for helping others and making a positive impact on their lives. Growing up, I found great fulfillment in supporting friends and family through their challenges and celebrating their successes. Witnessing the profound impact that empathy, kindness, and support can have on individualsβ well-being ignited a deep sense of purpose within me. This passion for helping others and fostering connections led me to pursue a career as a therapist, where I take immense joy in being a supportive presence in my clientsβ lives. I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, and I am committed to providing a safe and compassionate space where individuals can explore their challenges, grow, and thrive. It is my mission to create a space for you that is empathetic, compassionate, and free of judgment. In this safe environment, we can explore the challenges youβre facing and foster personal growth together. My goal is to empower others to tap into their inner strengths, overcome obstacles, and live fulfilling lives.
I specialize in helping individuals who may struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues/breakups, self-esteem struggles, communication barriers, difficulties with emotional regulation and attachment styles, learning disabilities, trauma, burnout, and stress. Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Person-Centred Approach, and Narrative Therapy, I tailor these approaches to meet your unique needs.
